Knowing that some of you have been intrigued by my Costco hauls, I put together a list of my favorite healthy products that are great deals at Costco!
Costco is a membership-only warehouse club, and they save you money by stocking their warehouse with pallets of products rather than displaying items like a regular grocery store. You can buy items in larger quantities than the normal grocery store, which also allows for some savings (and frequently, less plastic packaging than purchasing something more frequently from the regular grocery store). That said, Costco requires an upfront membership fee and enough cash on hand to be able to make a larger purchase. I end up there several times a year, and spend between $200-$300 dollars for staples that get us through the next few months and allow my regular grocery trips to be more focused on produce and small items I need to restock. Full disclosure that I make the trip with Noah's mom, who is a Costco member and brings me along on her trips - though it would be worth the membership if I was on my own!
I've figured out my favorite products at different stores around town and visit Costco for some of my favorite products below. Overall, there are some things to definitely buy at Costco and some things to avoid based on my own personal experience.
