At a restaurant a few weeks ago, I ordered a Moroccan mint tea and it came in a tall French press. I asked the waiter what their secret for the most flavorful tea was, since it had a hint of sweetness and brightness, and he mentioned that they make a lemon simple syrup that they add to the press before serving.
We immediately came home and recreated the simple syrup with some Meyer lemons my friend brought me from California, and have been sipping on an iced version of this tea ever since. I highly recommend trying this with mint tea, but we've also done it with green tea, hibiscus tea, and other herbal blends.
